Roles & Responsibilities


  • Deliver Executive talent at the Director and Managing Director levels to HSBC Global Businesses and Functions within the ASEAN region
  • As a subject matter expert, own and drive the delivery of a world-class end-to-end Executive Search process, encompassing seamless internal and external Candidate, Hiring Manager and Human Resource experience
  • Proactively engage the Business and Functional Leaders, Chief Operating Officers, Head of Human Resources, Head of Resourcing & Onboarding and other key internal stakeholders within the ASEAN markets to fully understand business strategy and correlation to Executive hiring, and deliver against their hiring needs
  • Source Executive Talent through internal channels, direct external search or through external Executive Search partner firms
  • Engage with the Talent Management team ensuring there is an optimum mix of build, buy and borrow, ensuring the use of internal talent not only in succession planning, but also for cross-business roles
  • Externally source candidates directly through a number of different channels, including referrals, market mapping and insight-led work
  • Partner with the Performance & Rewards team to gather market intel on compensation, and provide Hiring Managers with advice and insight into candidates, their experience, background and compensation expectations
  • Pull together complex compensation packages including variable pay and deferred compensation, and 'broker' deals with senior candidates from different regions and companies
  • Manage the day-to-day hiring metrics and numbers to ensure there is a Global joined-up approach at all levels
  • Champion ways of working to ensure open, fair, inclusive and transparent hiring practices
  • Operate as part of a borderless internal Global Executive Search team
  • Requirements:

  • Experience in talent acquisition gained through the executive search industry and/or in-house executive TA roles in a complex, highly matrixed, multinational corporate environment with regulatory oversight
  • Leader in the Executive Search space with a solid track record of end-to-end Executive Search and candidate identification in Financial Services, Digital and Insurance, or other heavily regulated industries
  • Experience managing the process for complex compensation packages including share buy outs and variable pay
  • Negotiation skills for both closing offers of employment and navigating a complex matrix environment
  • Understanding of global resourcing and the relationship between workforce planning and in country delivery against Annual Operating Plan
  • Ability to develop rapport with senior stakeholders, candidates and in-house delivery teams
  • Excellent presentation, Excel and PowerPoint skills and with ATS applicant tracking systems
  • Desire to change the status quo when it comes to the resourcing
