Job Description

Our HubSpot People Operations team prides itself on our innovative and flexible approach to HR, and we are looking for an exceptional individual to join us in either Sydney, Singapore or Japan in Snr. HRBP position. In this role you will partner with all business functions in the region. You will provide People Operations support across the company on a variety of HR-related matters including, but not limited to: manager coaching, team mentoring, international operations, talent management, performance management, and conflict resolution - in a way that may not be traditional to HR but embraces our unique culture and solves for our rapid business growth. In this role you will:

  • Successfully operate as a HR and employment law consultant to the JAPAC business.
  • Provide strategic business partnership and coaching to people managers to positively impact the motivation, development, and retention of talent.
  • Proactively utilize people trends and data to develop, implement and manage HR training, global projects and programs.
  • Actively identify gaps, and deploy impactful people strategies that enable the organization to mitigate risk, perform effectively, and scale efficiently as it grows.
  • Play a key role in working with managers on change management and talent management initiatives.
  • Provoke positive changes in people management by coaching and encouraging effective feedback loops between employees and managers.
  • Positively collaborate across peer groups - specifically, individuals within Recruiting, Culture, Learning and Development and Training, to optimize the acquisition, integration and development of HubSpot talent and achieve company goals.
  • Collaborate with global HR business partners to work on global projects.
  • To excel in this role you will need to have:

  • 5+ years of experience working in a Human Resources function within a lean, fast-paced work environment; experience in a global high-growth technology company preferred but not required
  • You must have experience working across the Asia Pacific region
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, and a track record of initiative taking and effective project management
  • Experience with JAPAC employment law
  • Comfort with high ambiguity and ability to adapt to frequent change and growth
  • Ability to exercise sound and efficient judgment when managing complex decisions
  • Ability to work with a very high level of confidentiality and discretion
  • An effective communicator and natural relationship builder who can collaborate with and influence a variety of work styles and personalities
