Roles & Responsibilities

Job Summary:

The Senior HR Executive (L&D) is responsible for leading the learning experience across Olympus Singapore and Indonesia, determining capability needs, and implementing plans to address these needs. In this role, you develop the competencies of our employees by participating actively in the design, delivery, and evaluation of learning and development activities and initiatives, including induction, people-centered programs, and key projects across the business.

Job Responsibilities:

Induction

  • Manage the induction and on boarding of new staff process as well as supporting our initial and refresher training courses for existing employees.
  • Develop and ensure delivery of an effective induction and on-boarding program to support retention of new talent and encourage a smooth transition into the business operations.
  • Deliver Core Values induction training to new starters.
  • Review and revise induction learning materials with your HR/L&D colleagues, business leaders and subject matter experts to remain current with changes in business needs, processes, policies, and systems.
  • HR Information Systems (HRIS)

  • Responsible for administering the HRIS and maintaining employee data beginning with the Learning Management System (LMS) with the potential of HRIS expansion over time.
  • Review LMS template and determine local customization for MLMS Module implementation in SAP
  • Assist with SAP systems integration testing to ensure accurate passing of data.
  • Assist in the implementation of HRIS projects, from understanding user requirements, and conducting end user training.
  • Use data management system for planning and recording all learning and development information and ensure business managers have the required information about attendance and target achievement.
  • Learning & Development

  • Perform Learning & Development (L&D) requests including training administration, coordination, and submission of training grants.
  • Provide operational support in all L&D activities, initiatives, Internships, Sponsorships as well as training bond management.
  • Partner and engage with stakeholders to identify current and future learning needs to meet business requirements.
  • Partner with your HR/L&D colleagues, business leaders, subject matter experts, and business stakeholders to shape and implement learning and development strategies, and to design best practice learning journeys.
  • Build strong relationships with our employees, subject matter experts, and business leaders to get to understand how to best meet their needs.
  • Assist in skills and capability gap analysis and relevant strategies to upskill the local workforce.
  • Prepares and manage learning records and related learning management systems up-to-date and accurate.
  • Implement measures to determine effectiveness and ROI of learning solutions delivered and report to business leaders regularly.
  • Manage business divisions L&D budget to ensure utilization is aligned to total company learning plan.
  • Ensures that content and context of all materials remains current and relevant for business and learner needs; can localize global/regional learning materials and curate learning solutions as per local business relevance.
  • Maintains knowledge of new methods and learning techniques and deploys them as and when required, especially in digital learning.
  • Consult with other internal learning teams to share best practices and ensure continuity across multiple programs, divisions, and teams.
  • Ensure HR Compliance with Good Distribution Practice for Medical Devices (GDPMDS) Audit and support the audit process responsibly and actively.
  • HR General Affairs

  • Support the HR Team for employee engagement events and corporate activities.
  • Participate actively in implementation of Core Value Employee Survey and follow-up actions.
  • Undertake any assignments, HR initiatives and ad-hoc projects as required.
  • Job Requirements:

    Qualifications

  • Degree in Business Administration/Human Resources or equivalent.
  • Skills / Core Competencies

  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills to develop trusting and credible relationships with stakeholders
  • A collaborative approach and strong influencing skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of responsibility to meet tight deadlines
  • Solid understanding of best practice approaches to Human Resource management and relevant local employment legislation
  • Effective team player along with strong ability to work autonomously
  • Strategic mindset and ability to develop effective and versatile L&D programs
  • Experience

  • Proven track record in a HR Generalist, L&D Executive or similar role (Experience in Learning & Development is advantageous).
  • Strategic thinker with proven ability to build frameworks, curriculum and learning journeys.
  • Practical experience using HR information systems is desirable (including LMS).
