About the opportunity

We are seeking a Senior HR Consultant to join our Hong Kong office. In this role you will partner with the business to provide strategic & operational guidance on all HR issues.

Key responsibilities include

  • Implementation of HR plans in accordance with the overall business strategy and Group/Region HR plan and initiatives

  • Ensure that all HR and people process tools are understood and completed as designated by Group and Region

  • Develop, administer and interpret HR policy and procedures and ensure that local policies are in alignment with Group policies

  • Maintain knowledge of legal and government regulations and requirements affecting human resources functions and ensure compliance to policies and

  • Work with Talent Acquisition personnel to recruit, develop and retain the quality and quantity of resources needed for the Companys operations

  • Maintain and implement compensation and benefit structure and programs that provide a competitive level of pay and rewards to employees

  • Manage salary and performance reviews

  • Establish and maintain external relationships with relevant regulatory, government bodies and labour agencies

  • Facilitate effective communication between employees and management

  • Identify training and development needs in conjunction with function managers

  • Lead and facilitate employee performance management

  • Manage employee domestic and international assignments

  • Support other locations in China (e.g. Shanghai office) when necessary and required.

About you

  • To be successful in this senior position you will have;

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent industry experience

  • Experience in a generalist Human Resources role

  • Demonstrated knowledge of applicable laws/regulations related to human resources functions in both the Mainland and Hong Kong

  • Ability to build and maintain trusted, collaborative and productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Highly developed verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills

  • Solid problem-solving and time management skills

  • A high level of attention of detail

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English, Mandarin and Cantonese
