Job Description

The HR Business Partner develops and implements HR strategic solutions that aligns with business needs and expectations. The individual provides advice to business leaders on people and team related issues, manage and execute all areas of the employee life cycle, provide reports & metrics on HR issues to the various business executives, and the bank in general.

Responsibilities

Strategy :

  • Helps the Business to accomplish their business goals
  • Participates in defining business strategies for the Business
  • Ensures that HR strategies are aligned with business strategy
  • Provide leadership to the Business in change management, organizational design and other organizational transformation initiatives; and
  • Develop and implement change initiatives to support the Business projects

  • Administration :

  • Improves Operational Efficiency within the Business by providing organizational support and managing infrastructure
  • Delivers HR processes throughout the employee life-cycle in a seamless manner
  • Ensure that HR processes are simplified and administered efficiently
  • Efficiently produces reports and measures to track HR performance
  • Increases productivity throughout the business

  • Employee Relations:

  • Assists the Business Leadership and management in taking care of employees personal needs
  • Developing and implementing programmes and activities aimed at improving employee engagement.
  • Ensure that people policies are reflective of our employee brand and value proposition
  • Spends time listening and responding to employees and their concerns
  • Provides direction and support to employees in HR procedures and through the employee life cycle
  • Provide support to employees in managing challenges at work
  • Advise the Business Unit Heads and Executives on People related issues
  • Promote and enforce consistency in HR policy implementation within the Business
  • Builds networks within the Bank and the HR team to share best practices
  • Organizational Transformation:

  • Develops and implements interventions to shape cultural change for renewal and transformation
  • Design HR processes and programs that increase the organizations ability to change
  • Provides support for new behaviors to drive competitiveness of the Bank
  • Requirements

  • Good University degree
  • Minimum of 10 years of Investment Banking Human Resources experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • High level of analytical ability
  • Commercial and cultural awareness, with high sensitivity to the social, economic and political environment
  • Knowledge of the banking and financial services industry is critical
  • HR Strategy skills Performance, Employee Relations, Reward, Talent, Learning and Development, Resourcing, Organisational Development, etc.
  • Ability to manage across functional teams through coaching, training, and implementing best practices
  • High customer focus
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Ability to lead and manage change
  • Excellent interpersonal, people management and organisational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as possessing proficient computer skills
  • Must have a desire for achieving excellence in customer satisfaction, process and product quality and reliability.
