Glanbia Performance Nutrition (GPN) is headquartered in Dublin, ROI, with operating facilities in Illinois, California, South Carolina, Florida, the UK, the Netherlands, and Australia. GPN employs more than 1,800 people globally and has revenues of approximately $1.5B.

With our ambition comes an exciting change management, culture, talent, organization development and engagement agenda in Asia. This role is responsible for creating working environments where our people can meet their full potential, while also delivering the potential for our brands. With a primary focus on our the Commercial and Marketing teams in the Asia business, the appointee will also lead a HR generalist role based in Melbourne, Australia, which sits on the Oceania Leadership Team. The role will lead all aspects of the people agenda, with a geographic scope covering the people agenda across Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Australia and New Zealand.

With our growth aspirations in the market comes the opportunity for the appointee to grow their role over time to a broader level of HR support and leadership, both geographically and functionally. The appointee will also have the scope to shape and contribute to our global agenda, through their role on the EMEA/ASPAC HR Leadership Team. As a result, the chosen candidate will need to show the potential to grow with the business over time. This is an end to end HR role, and the HR shared service functions are still in development, so this role requires the flexibility to drive the strategic agenda as well as the operational agenda.

The opportunity where you will make an impact:

  • Partner with the Asia Leadership Team to develop a purpose driven, values led culture that enables high performance.
  • Coaching the Oceania BP to deliver the people agenda in ANZ.
  • As a member of the Asia Leadership team, contribute to the shaping of the overall strategy for the markets.
  • Develop and deliver an inspiring people strategy to support the business strategy, including a focus on Inclusion, Wellbeing and our Values.
  • Coach and support the General Manager to build a high-performing Leadership Team.
  • Coach and mentor the Leadership Team members, in support of high performance and their leadership effectiveness.
  • Bring a deep understanding of the pulse of the organisation to the Leadership Team and inspire leadership accountability for employee engagement.
  • Partner with Hiring Managers and Talent Acquisition to source high quality talent.
  • Work with the leadership team to identify talent / high potential employees and build appropriate career plans and strategic succession planning.
  • Partner with COEs and the broader HR team to (1) deploy global initiatives and (2) to influence the development of global initiatives, in service of the Asia and Oceania businesses.
  • Lead the thinking on organisation effectiveness and operating models, to deliver the structure & capabilities required to deliver the strategy.
  • Together with line managers, identify the training needs of those in the team and decide how to deliver the most appropriate learning interventions.
  • Provide advice and support to Managers in order to resolve employee relations issues across all countries and proactively driving high performance in the teams.
  • Development of contemporary benefits and policies to support talent attraction and retention.
  • Engage and educate managers to ensure active management of all performance issues through informal and formal processes.
  • Facilitate appropriate training for line managers and update them on legislative developments.
  • Support employees and managers through the performance management process, ensuring process and best practice is followed.
  • Take up projects in support of wider HR agenda, collaborating with the teams in the wider Glanbia group.
  • Key Challenges and Success Measures:

  • Achievement of key projects set by the HR VP and in conjunction with the LTs.
  • Effectively deliver against HR and business agenda on agreed strategic priorities across the commercial functions.
  • Effective optimisation of HR Processes, policy and service delivery and effective use of the HR systems.
  • Effective support on change and transformation within the business and providing pro-active partnering to the line managers in the business.
  • What you will bring to GPN:

  • A track record in a fast paced, commercial environment through 5+ years as a HR BP, and the ability to be successful in a matrix organisation with multiple stakeholders, across diverse cultures.
  • The agility and flexibility to adapt to a changing agenda over time, underpinned by the ability to create excitement for a long-term people strategy.
  • Proven track record of broad HR operational delivery including operational excellence, talent acquisition, employee relations, performance, change management, org re-design and reward.
  • A track record of providing coaching and mentoring support to stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success in identifying innovative people solutions, and then deploying the solution.
  • Strong business acumen with ability to translate business and HR needs into action.
  • The ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills coupled with a high level of professionalism and a proven track record in influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Proven organisational skills with the ability to manage own work load.
  • Employee relations experience across geographies.
  • Degree/ Masters and CIPD qualified.
