Job Description

The successful candidate will join the Benefits & Crew Hotel department in SIA Human Resources Division. You will be part of the team to manage cabin crew and technical crew hotels and transport contracts for more than 60 overseas stations, taking into consideration cost, safety, security and requirements for crew rest.

Key Responsibilities include:

1.Crew Hotel and Transport Procurement

a.Manage crew hotels and transport contracts for more than 60 overseas stations, taking into consideration safety, security and requirements for crew rest

i.Work with stations to conduct RFP for crew accommodation and transport to and from airport and hotel

ii.Evaluation quotations with SSEs clearance on safety and security matters

iii.Submit paper to for approval to appoint the recommended hotel / transport provider

iv.Ensure contracts are in order with clearance from Legal and Insurance

b.Ensure that crew hotel cost is managed effectively in times of Covid-19 through pro-actively working with stations to secure rate adjustments and hotel brokers to understand shift in hotel markets

c.Continuous engagement with the SIASU and ALPA-S in managing hotel procurement and operational matters

2.Crew Hotel Operations

a.Close collaboration with Cabin Crew, Flight Operations and Stations to source short-term hotels that meet CAAS requirements and safeguard crews health and wellbeing during layovers

b.Manage relocation of hotels at each station effectively with waiver of occupancy from contracted hotels

c.EPT (Enterprise Planning Tool): Automation of invoice verification and payment process for all hotel and transport invoices at overseas stations. First BU supporting EPT automation and change management efforts for overseas stations

3.Project HOME

a.PMO to lead the outsourcing of crew hotel procurement and operations to a third-party broker that provides platform and tools to support end-to-end hotel processes

4.Ground Staff Transport

a.Oversee management of contracts and operational issues for provision of ALH ground staff transport

Requirements

A bachelor degree in any discipline

Experience in Cabin Crew or HR is preferred

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to establish and maintain good relationships with the union representations

Strong teamwork with other business units to align on objectives

High-level attention to details with ability to manage workload with shifting priorities

Analytical and critical thinking skills are critical

Independent in problem-solving when negotiating with the union representatives. Ability to put forth clear and concise arguments.
