Position Overview

The Senior Director Human Resources APAC position supports the expansion of Vantages business in APAC. This person will act as a trusted, senior-level advisor on human resources matters to the Senior Vice President, Global Human Resources, the President APAC and all employees throughout our APAC operations. This hands-on senior leader will be a passionate and driven leader, focused on the alignment of human capital to the companys business growth and results. This position will provide strategic, consultative direction and operational leadership for the business, articulating the needs and plans for Human Resources programs and initiatives in APAC.

Working with the HR team and the leaders in the organization, the position will create a best-in-class workplace by providing direction and leadership of strategy and policies as Vantage is experiencing rapid organic and inorganic growth. Top priorities: Align APAC HR resources to ensure alignment and application of best practices throughout the region, collaborate with NA and European HR to ensure consistencies across Vantage where possible, help define and build a talent management strategy that focuses on career development and an effective employer branding initiative. Additional priorities: managing organizational change and integration, supporting culture and engagement, organizational development, diversity and inclusion initiatives, comprehensive employee training programs, performance management, employee relations and internal investigations, employee communications, employee onboarding and orientation, retention practices, compliance initiatives, policies and procedures, and employee awards and recognition.

Essential Job Functions

Responsible for all areas of human resources in the APAC

Manage the recruiting process for new and backfill roles across the region

Ensure compliance with all local, regional, and country regulations

Assess internal or external issues that would impact team members performance and retention

Ensure adherence to best practices, and quality systems for all human talent related issues.


In concert with the SVP of HR and the global HR team:

Ensure effective delivery and execution of day-to-day employee services aligned with business needs

Assist with new technologies that will drive change, simplify processes, lower operating costs, enhance operational efficiencies and support streamlined Human Resources operations

Champion of Competency-Based Behavioral Interview (CBBI) process and interview training

Ensure the company is attracting, motivating, and promoting a diverse, inclusive and talented workforce

Provide counsel, guidance, assistance and coaching to executives, leaders, and managers during complex employee relations situations

Support the creation of appropriate department metrics, reports and organizational trends desired by Executive Management

Protect the interests of the company by ensuring compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations

Maintain up-to-date knowledge on human resources issues/trends and evolving legislation that may impact the business, planning accordingly for the company to respond to these trends/developments as they occur

Oversee and direct routine human resources procedures and deliverables, including talent acquisition, talent management, learning management system, employee handbook development and presentation, job descriptions, new employee onboarding, promotions & adjustments planning, performance management, etc.

Maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, functional peers, and industry groups to enhance business effectiveness

Performs other duties as required when business needs evolve

Job Requirements

BachelorsDegreein Business Administration, Human Resources Management, or related field, required

10 or moreyearsof Human Resources experience required

General knowledge of employment-related laws, regulations, and human resource information systems (HRIS)

Outstanding written & verbal communication and presentation skills, attention to detail in composing, documenting, and proofing Human Resources communication materials

Excellent interpersonal, coaching, problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills

Excellent business & financial acumen, time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills

Excellent decision-making skills that balance business and leadership objectives with employee needs

Ability to utilize key performance indicators (KPIs), operational and financial data to provide the appropriate oversight at the department level

Strong personal & professional integrity, ethical, trustworthy, confident, tactful, genuine, authentic, supportive, team player, creative, resourceful, not afraid to address issues, can guide organization through change

Data center or technology experience is strongly preferred

SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential or the HRCI Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR) credential, preferred

Travel is expected to be less than 25%, but may increase over time as the business evolves
