The Regional Talent Acquisition team is a newly created HR Centre of Excellence which will support our organisation transformation priorities to get better deploying our most critical resource as a professional services organisation.

Role purpose

The APAC Talent Acquisition (TA) Director main purpose is to establish and lead a regional TA function. Currently, TA and Recruiting teams are dispersed across our markets, operating with different processes, systems and strategies. The Regional TA Director will work with the Global Talent Acquisition Lead and the APAC HR Director to develop a regional strategy on attracting the best talent for the business. This role will also work closely with the Resource Management function to ensure a steady state of talent in the pipeline.

The TA Director will join dentsu with the unique opportunity to shape the TA function regionally during a period of growth and change, to define what a world-class function looks like, contribute to Organizational Design and implement best practices to continue to showcase dentsu as an employer of choice around the world.

Key Accountabilities

Supporting dentsus People Strategy, you will:

  • Take overall accountability for influencing and implementing the Global TA Strategy and agreed initiatives in the region , working closely with the Global HR and market HRDs communities, focusing on areas such as HR technology and TA process redesign.

  • Support the global HR Transformation with specific accountability for leading the Global TA agenda in the region, enabling the transition to a new operating model, design and deployment of new TA processes and ways of working.

  • Contribute the role definition of Regional HR Shared Services to support Talent Acquisition globally

  • Manage the deployment of enabling technology in the region to move to one global system to enhance candidate and employee experiences

  • Partner with the resource management function to define and operationalize the hand offs in the end to end process

  • Developing and implementing a Global TA Strategy

  • In partnership with the Global and other Regional TA Directors, develop and execute a world class global hiring approach and underlying business strategies

  • Implement and promote initiatives to ensure the TA function supports and lives by dentsus Inclusion and Diversity agenda

  • Contribute to the global TA vision and align a truly global team to that vision whilst providing innovative, scalable solutions to drive our hiring to meet local-specific business objectives

  • Works with Global Talent Acquisition Lead and internal stakeholders to develop a comprehensive diversity attraction strategy with the goal of increasing diverse representation

  • Provide insight and analysis on TA related measures to guide and develop key TA focus areas

  • - Develops and manages recruiting reports, dashboards, and metrics

  • - Establishes and tracks metrics to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of the recruiting team, hiring managers, interviewers, and referrers

  • Build out a team that drive best practices in attracting , assessing and evaluating in line with dentsu talent strategy

  • In collaboration with the HR Leadership team, progress our EVP to promote dentsu employee promise in markets through different medium ( digital, campus etc )

  • Support our workforce sourcing model in line with future of work liquid workforce trends balancing current needs and future organisational setting

  • Support the global HR Transformation with specific accountability for leading the Global TA agenda

  • In partnership with the Global HR Operating Office, Market TA Leads and Global Resource Management Director, lead the design and approach for a new TA operating model

  • In partnership with the Global TA Lead, Global HR Operating Office and the APAC HR Director, lead the design and approach for a new HR operating model

  • Drive the associated change leadership approach, working in collaboration with the global change team, regional change lead and other regional/local representatives to successfully drive changes in working practices and HR support model

  • Lead the implementation of TA priorities globally, including input into the Global HR Technology Roadmap (with a focus on Workday and ATS, and any other HR technologies that intersect with TA), lead the global deployment of the TA initiatives and oversee TA change requests as part of the annual releases roadmap

  • Oversee all TA Technology deployments in new and existing Markets, working collaboratively with Change Teams and Project Leads

  • Team Management

  • Plan and managesTA budget and resources with Global TA Lead

  • Build key relationships and engage senior stakeholders locally, regionally and globally to collaborate effectively

  • Manage the relationship and influence senior HR and business leaders at market, regional or global level

  • Lead, coordinate, motivate and develop remote or on the ground diverse resources, part of a matrix reporting environment. Coordinate internal project teams, vendors and contractors.

  • Lead and inspire the team of Recruiters in the region of approx. 40 to hire the very best talent for dentsu

  • Provide mentorship, guidance and career development to the TA team and manage other interim roles as required

  • This role will require you to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability by working virtually with HR and business teams, using digital tools to connect, engage and collaborate.

    You will also need to build trusted relationships across the HR function and the business, championing a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement.

  • What were looking for:

  • A minimum of 10-15 years experience of working in Senior TA Leadership roles in global organisations, successfully leading truly diverse and geographically dispersed TA teams

  • Strong knowledge of market trends and innovation in TA, shared services and organisational effectiveness across industries. Experience in applying the latest thinking and industry insights to challenge traditional ways of working and operational standards to improve employee experience.

  • An HR or other relevant degree

  • Sound knowledge and experience of using a broad range of HR technologies including Workday and other enabling technologies. A deep understanding of Applicant Tracking Systems and their use when implemented globally.

  • Fluency in English is a pre-requisite; another language is an advantage but not required.

  • Very strong communication skills derived from a deep experience of working with distributed and cross-functional teams including presentation skills

  • Sound knowledge of TA and associated HR practices.
