You will be part of the Public Sector Transformation (PST) Cluster and will report to the Assistant Director (PST Engagement).
PST Cluster is in charge of driving the Public Sector Transformation movement, with the goal of continually transforming the Public Service to ensure it not only delivers well today, but is ready for the future. We do this through championing Public Sector Innovation, transforming citizen-facing service delivery, building a digital workplace, and supporting transformation efforts in the Ministries and Statutory Boards.
As Manager (PST Engagement), your primary focus is on mobilising all 145,000 public officers to contribute to PST, and in doing so achieve better outcomes in their work domains. You will design and organise platforms that involve large groups of public officers in PST, and also recognise officers for their involvement and exemplary traits related to PST.
Your work may include:
- Leading efforts to organise mass events, such as the annual Public Service Week, with other public agencies. You will be the overall coordinator for Public Service Week, including managing the project timelines and budget.
- Administering the PST Awards, including matters pertaining to the Awards policy intent. You will work closely with another Ministry to organise two PST Awards Receptions each year.
- Working with PSD Corporate Communications and other agencies to develop and align PST messages for public officers.
- Coordinating within PSD and with other central government agencies (e.g. Ministry of Finance) to organise the Head of Civil Services engagement efforts with public agencies and officers
Work Experience & Competencies
You should have at least four years of work experience, with some background in communications, project management and event management. Past public sector experience is not mandatory but is a bonus.
We are looking for a self-motivated officer who is highly-organised, diligent and detail-oriented. The officer should thrive in ambiguity, be unafraid to challenge the status quo, see opportunities in constraints, and be able to coordinate complex projects with multiple moving pieces. The officer should have good inter-personal skills and be able to engage, rally and build sustainable relationships and networks with diverse stakeholders.
Only shortlisted applicants will be notified within 2 weeks after closing date. Successful candidates will be offered a 2-year contract in the first instance.
