Overview of the role:

Take lead APAC markets (SG/MY/ID/TH/IN/ID/KR/VN) Payroll & Benefits team to ensure a quality Payroll & Benefits operations.
Lead regional Payroll projects local deployment, manage internal and external payroll & benefits processes, including ongoing supplier relationship management, migrating payroll ownership and suppliers in accordance with global and regional payroll strategy.
Contribute to the development and implementation of payroll policies & procedures, ensure accuracy and productivity of the payroll functions including: payroll vendor relations, internal control monitoring, developing and maintaining high quality of delivery standards.
Acting as escalation point for responsible markets for Payroll and Benefits Administration service delivery, driving a team of payroll professionals across 3 markets, instilling desired ways of working and driving team engagement.
Partnering with different stakeholders: HR Business Partners, HR Centres of Excellence (CoEs), Finance, Procurement, and internal and external HR Service delivery to drive Service Excellence, prioritize workloads and manage issue resolution.


WHAT YOU WILL DO


Service Delivery & Escalation:
a
Main escalation point for all country Payroll & Benefits issues in relation to service delivery within the business.
Manage all escalated Payroll & Benefits delivery issues and resolve on time.
Execute the global Payroll & Benefits supplier strategy in collaboration with procurement and CoEs, engage and co-ordinate with CoE teams, defining strategies and requirements, driving harmonization and adoption of standard service offerings.
Lead to deploy global/regional Payroll & Benefits projects/initiatives in the region, ensuring delivery of high-quality services and processes to the business.
Other payroll related tasks and projects.

Vendor & Supplier Management:

Create clearly defined performance parameters that are agreed upon by all parties involved
Monitor performance, provide feedback, define or approve/disapprove change control processes.
Ensure that strong organisational structure and processes are put in place to manage and track relationships, contracts, and service-level agreements (SLAs) with all suppliers.
Manage suppliers to ensure high quality of service delivery across benefits and payroll.
Manage SLA definition, service level monitoring and provides operational feedback to inform supplier negotiations, in alignment with global Payroll Strategy Lead.

Stakeholder partnership & effective communication:

Develop a trusted advisor relationship with relevant stakeholders through effective communication.
Working as the primary, daily contact to the business on delivery of Payroll & Benefits operations for Great China.
Responsible for ensuring all resolved issues are analysed and communicated to ensure thorough resolution in the region.
Escalating all SME input as to country-specific requirements to the benefit of regional and global solutions and ensuring appropriate solutions are thought out and implemented.

Leadership / Change Management:

Drive team engagement and collaboration.
Partner closely with HR Community to address business needs and issues.
Actively participate in strategy development and implementation with payroll & benefits administration stakeholders and suppliers and ensure service delivery at high-performance level.
Facilitate Payroll & Benefits training, knowledge sharing, coach Payroll & Benefits SMEs and support individual & team development.
Assess and analyse the change impact from a country specific perspective, dentify/analyse risk mitigation tactics as per country specific perspective.


WHAT YOU MUST HAVE

To be successful in this role, you will have:


Education Minimum Requirement:

Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting and Business Administration qualifications.

Required Experience and Skills:
6-8 years of experience in a complex multinational business environment, with focus on Payroll & Benefits operations for Asia countries and leading regional team for at least 2-3 years.
Experience with ADP Global View & Streamline services delivery is preferable.
Solid experience working in a matrix HR operating model, with a centralized HR Service Delivery organization, demonstrated experience in managing outsourced and insourced Service Delivery in a team leader function (ideally in Human Resources, Payroll or Benefits Administration)
Proven payroll operation experience for China. Other APAC countries experience will be preferred
Excellent leadership, experience managing more than 2 direct reports
Track record of building strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and external partners
Demonstrated ability to work in teams and collaborate / partner with others from across the business
Effective communication and influencing skills, demonstrated ability to drive engagement and change within a team and organization
Able to work effectively at all levels in an organization. Problem solving and root cause identification skills (continuous improvement experience ideal)
Strong attention to detail and follow up; strong analytical skills together with developed business acumen
