Job Description

Founded in 1936, the Boys and Girls Clubs Association is one of the longest serving non-government organizations dedicated to the welfare of children and youth in Hong Kong. Our mission to achieve a balanced and happy environment for the nurturing and growth of our young has never wavered in our focus of Nurture the Young, Create the Future.

To support future development of our Association, we are now inviting competent candidate to join our team:

  • Assist Head of HR to formulate and initiate the development direction and plan of the Department and Team
  • Assist Head of HR to plan, drive and manage different HR initiatives / projects, including but not limited to Policy & Procedures Review, eWorkflow, HRIS, Performance Management system, etc.
  • Supervise a small team of 2 3 staff, monitor the manpower planning and PE cost of both subvented and non-subvented services; to build and maintain close relationships with service / project leaders for smooth operation
  • Closely monitor and review project progress with team members from time to time
  • Responsible for handling work injury, staff engagement and welfare activities
  • Support the development of best practices and legal compliance
  • Attend various committee meetings and taskforces, and prepare papers and minutes when necessary
  • Lead team members for providing high quality, timely and effective services for the Association
  • Identify uncertainties and potential threats, and provide advice and solutions to tackle
  • Perform ad hoc duties as assigned


  • Bachelor's degree or above in HR Management, Business Administration or related disciplines
  • At least 8years of professional experience in human resources management, of which 3 years in managerial / supervisory level
  • Well-versed in Employment Ordinance and other HR related legislations
  • Solid experience in formulation and execution of HR projects
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects with different requirements and tight deadlines
  • High level of personal integrity, confidentiality and discretion
  • Detail-oriented, able to work independently and under pressure
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills with internal staff and external vendors / service provides
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese
  • Candidates with less experience could be considered as Assistant Manager, Human Resources
