  • Role Description

    Our client's Human Resources Manager is the custodian of the organisation's Human Capital asset. He / she is an important partner to the Founder and Managing Director.

    Our client believes that Human Capital is an important key pillar of the organisation and, therefore, continuous positive transformation of that pillar is critical for success.

    Our Client has operations in the geographical markets of Singapore, China and Cambodia. The Human Resources Manager will initially be accountable for Singapore's HQ Human Capital headcount of 26 employees (which includes 3 Management Level professionals). The responsibility to cover the other countries - resulting in a total headcount of 70 - will be an opportunity for growth in the role.

    Job Overview:

    The Human Resources Manager's duties will involve managing activities such as job designing, talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, training & development and talent management.

    In addition, all HR initiatives to drive continuous improvement in the HR function and competencies will be the purview of the Human Resources Manager.

    Primary Job Duties:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Formulate and manage the recruitment and selection process.
  • Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and retention of human capital.
  • Monitor overall HR strategies, systems, policies and procedures across the organization.
  • Nurture a positive working environment.
  • Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
  • Managing succession planning program.
  • Formulate employee benefits and salary program.
  • Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs.
  • Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics.
  • Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, disciplinary issues.
  • Lead the HR team, providing training and development opportunities for the HR team.
  • Manage HR related projects and reporting.
  • Job Requirements:

  • At least 8 years experience as a HR Manager.
  • Demonstrable experience with Human Resources metrics
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases.
  • Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
  • In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.
  • Degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • Fluency in both the English and Mandarin languages - the latter for communications with colleagues in China.
