Job Description

Our client is a regional conglomerate who is looking for an assistant human resources manager to be based in their Shanghai offices. You will be part of a strategic HR team and will be called upon to assist in successful delivering of a broad range of HR programs/policies for the China business.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with HR Director in carrying out HR Operations and HR agenda
  • Responsible for the maintaining the full employee life cycle from an HR perspective
  • Assist with on & off boarding, performance management, and employee relations matters,
  • Maintain employee data integrity, create and maintain up to date employee data record in HRIS system
  • Provide HR monthly reporting and analysis, such as headcount report and organizational structure, employee related statistics
  • Manage relationship payroll vendors and oversee internal payroll process
  • Support employee mobility plus in and out bound relocation matters
  • Manage recruitment function and be hands on with senior hires
  • Ensure new hire orientation and on boarding programs are provided to new joiners
  • Coordinate training programmes and roll learning initiatives from global and local head offices
  • Responsible for employee engagement surveys and work with senior management on different people initiatives

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent in education and experience
  • At least 8 years in a generalist Human Resources with a dynamic MNC
  • Track record in addressing complex people issues in China and regional exposure is preferred including C&B, mobility and
  • Strong understanding and use of human resources planning concepts/principles
  • Strong computer skills in Word, Excel, Pivot table plus exposure to Oracle and Success Factor is a plus
  • Must be willing to learn and work independently
  • Excellent people, team player and communication skills
  • Fluent written and spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin) is required
