Responsibilities:

As part of the HR team, you are entrusted with the primary responsibility of building a world class human capital asset base and will be involved in spearheading HR initiatives. Other duties include but not limited to supervising payroll administration , compensation and benefit administration, supporting HR information systems as an end user, handling office administration and HR employee administration.

  • Participate and implement key initiatives and strategies that are highly aligned to business practices.
  • Provide coaching and oversee the HR team, ensuring that the team is highly robust and commercially focused.
  • Analyze key data and develop key metrics (attrition/retention rates, training costs etc.) in order to develop insights, drive decisions and come up with improvement plans.
  • Responsible for dealing with grievances and violations invoking disciplinary action when required.
  • Ensure excellent service delivery on day to day HR related matters, ensuring the smooth running of the day-to-day HR matters for all the business units.
  • Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff in the department when needed.
  • Oversees the daily workflow of the HR department.
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations to team members.
  • Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems and process to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, taxes, and other deductions.
  • Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
  • Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of both payroll transactions, accruals and reconciliations.
  • Ensures compliance with existing laws and regulations pertaining to local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
  • Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
  • Identifies and recommends updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures.
  • Generate timely management reports and submit statutory/mandatory reports when needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • About The Manager/team

    This is a team lead role, reporting to the Head of HR.

    Requirements:

    You will be Degree qualified with preferable qualifications in HRM or any related field of studies with at least 8 years of Generalist experience. Candidates who has experience working in an IT software and services company will be an added advantage . A tech savvy individual, you will be a strategic thinker who would be able to partner the stakeholders.

    To excel in the role, you need to be a self driven team player, analytical, resourceful with proven skills in strategic problem solving, interpersonal relationships as well as written and verbal communication. Ability to multi task and excel in a fast paced environment as well as good proficiency in IT applications is essential.

    Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, make up pay, payroll taxes and clearance, CPF and government claim submission.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficient with payroll software.
