Roles & Responsibilities

DESCRIPTION:

  • Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings, as well as optimizing or streamlining company structure.
  • Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
  • Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees, including enrolment for government-subsidised programmes and courses.
  • Oversees employee appraisal, disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains compliance with employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, government funding and employment law.
  • Manage and process payroll for all workers on a timely basis, such as, computation of staff' salaries, allowances and deductions, processing of wages, statutory submissions, annual & ad hoc tax fillings, etc.
  • Responsible for updating of employee handbook/manual; spearheading employee welfare programmes, promoting work-life balance and social activities/benefits. Ensure that the workforce is covered for all necessary insurance (workplace/hospitalisation/medical) benefits.
  • REQUIREMENTS:

  • Diploma/Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Management, or equivalent.
  • 3 - 5 years of relevant HR experience, preferably in mid to large-sized organisations.
  • Must be comfortable working directly with Co-Founders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications: Excel, Powerpoint, Word, Outlook
  • An animal lover/pet owner would be preferred.
