Job Description

We are seeking an HR Manager who will partner with the leadership team to form a deep understanding and execute the organizations' human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.

You will have an eye for detail and unwavering commitment to improve and streamline processes with the aim of improving our employee experience.

You have an appreciation and understanding of technology. The ideal candidate will have a mindset of continuous improvement and change and will demonstrate curiosity, collaboration, and the ability to deal with ambiguity especially in a start-up environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Actively understand government policies and seek out available subsidies and grants from relevant authorities
  • Act as the point of liaison with insurance agents for negotiating staff medical insurance
  • Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing feedback as well as delivering key messages to employees in a clear, positive, and efficient manner
  • Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory reporting and filing requirements e.g. CPF, IRAS, MOM, NS, and all other government-related claims as well as administering work passes application/issuance/renewal/cancellation
  • Maintain and audit data entered in our HR system during the employee life cycle, and run reports where necessary.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Monthly payroll preparation for Singapore staff and affiliated entities
  • Nurture a positive working environment
  • Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Provides support and guidance to HR executive, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Job Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resource, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • Possess at least 5 to 8 years of human resource management experience
  • Experience of working within a tech startup and hyper growth environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
