The HR V&A (Ventures & Acquisition) Talent Integration (VATI) team supports in delivering change management activities for integrating employees joining Accenture via an acquisition. The goal of the VATI team is to ensure a good employee experience by planning a smooth transition journey for acquired employees by applying the Change Management body of knowledge across Communications, Culture Integration, Training and Stakeholder Engagement.
The V&A HR primary stakeholders are the Corporate Development team, the sponsoring organization of an acquisition (Operating Group/Growth Platform and/or Geographies), the target leadership/HR teams and Accenture HR leadership and enablement teams (HR Business Partners, etc.).
The Growth Markets (GM) Ventures & Acquisitions HR Talent Integration (VATI) Team Lead provides Talent Integration team the required leadership, change management expertise, and delivery excellence for service delivery in conjunction with Accentures V&A transactions globally. Growth Markets include Latin America (LATAM) and AAPAC (S. Africa and Asia Pacific, including Greater China and Japan).
The GM VATI Team Lead should possess demonstrated technical and professional experience in delivering transformational projects focused on people and culture change/ transition. He/she should be able to effectively coach members of the team, resolve/mitigate any escalations, and provide leadership oversight. He/ she would be responsible for ensuring on-time and on-budget project delivery, managing multiple stakeholders/MDs or challenging leadership, high headcount, challenging cultural integration, multiple or phased go-lives, and developing innovative solutions to transition the acquisition to Accenture while also balancing alignment to the business (case) drivers and acquired employee experience. He/ she will also act as SME to support and solution for global HR V&A initiatives and programs as required.
Further, the GM VATI Team Lead will be expected to ensure overall delivery excellence of the VATI Workstream across all acquisitions by ensuring adequate staffing, support, coaching, engagement and mentoring of the Growth Markets Talent Integration team members. The Team lead will identify resourcing and skill needs within the GM Talent Integration team and own the plans to address any gaps.
VATI Team Leadership, Delivery Excellence and Oversight (60%):
The VATI Team Lead is expected to ensure quality delivery of the VATI Workstream across acquisitions by establishing an effective structure for quality assurance, oversight, and escalation mitigation to include (but not limited to): Ensuring the review of key VATI deliverables prior to roundtable, investment committee reviews and/or other key milestones during the acquisition lifecycleDeal coaching, especially for large-scale plays or GEC-sponsored acquisitionsProactive involvement in deals when critical risks/issues have been identified within the VATI WorkstreamEscalation mitigation with key leadership stakeholders as well as support to VATI leads in issue resolution as required
The VATI Team Lead will serve as a Deal Coach and/ or Deal Lead, particularly for largescale/ complex deals and deals sponsored by the GEC. As such, the VATI Team Lead must be a subject matter expert across all areas of HR V&A Talent Integration and able to advise and coach VATI Leads through the following activities/deliverables within the acquisition lifecycle: Reviews the deal workplan, budget, and overall program management approachReviews and guides on key deliverables (e.g., DD Org Assessments, Impact Assessments and associated mitigations, Training/Communications/Engagement plans, etc.)Acts as HR VATI SME for HR V&A and crossteamsHelps Deal Lead work through complex issues and helps identify escalationsHelps Deal Lead prepare for key meetings (e.g., Management Meetings, DDRT, Culture Workshops)Able to provide effective feedback and coaching on both strategic and tactical activities
VATI Team Engagement (10%)
Collaborates effectively with Growth Markets DE Team Lead, to establish and reinforce effective ways of working across teams and drive joint programming for GM HR V&A Team engagement & wellness
Mentors VATI team members and cultivates a culture of mentorship and support at all levels
Identifies and prioritizes areas for employee skill development and partners with the V&A Training Lead to create course curriculum and/or implement learning and skill building sessions
Contributes towards building a highly connected and engaged team through regular connects and building an effective people lead network.
VATI Team Operations (10%)
Partners with GM DE Team Lead to provide consolidated view of investment committee deal summaries, staffing matrix, and issues & risks to GM Lead
Manages GM VATI staffing in alignment with the acquisition pipeline and identifies VATI team headcount needs
Architect cross-market staffing structures and mobilize the team, skills and expertise to work on mega-deals, sourcing creatively to add capacity/resources as needed
Accountable for GM VATI recruitment & onboarding
Cultivates a flexible support model to address gaps in GM VATI c apacity and builds a GM VATI candidate pool for potential assignment or rotation to support acquisitions, as well as leveraging/upskilling contractors as required
Foster HR V&A brand in the GM HR and in overall T&O Consulting communities, sourcing potential candidates internally wherever possible.
HR V&A Enablement (20%):
Contributes to the ongoing enablement and enhancement of HR V&A through leadership and support of global HR V&A initiatives, offerings and programs
Builds strong relationships across diverse organizational and functional areas within Growth Markets, to enable solutioning and/or stakeholder discussions for activities which affect the Talent Integration scope of support and/or acquired joiners.
Provides leadership on the VATI Advisory activities that includes beyond PMI (Post-Merger-Integration) and Lookback support by managing the team member on VATI Advisor role.
