Job Description

Oversees staff management and the delivery of high quality consultative guidance and support to employees and managers for one of the three regions. Ensures that HR service standards outlined in the Service Partnership Agreement (SPA) are delivered upon and that Varian employees and managers are provided best-in-class service. Responsible for data collection and reporting to SPA metrics to monitor teams operational excellence including quality and turnaround time. Adapts service standards and processes based on business unit needs. Works collaboratively across HR teams to provide input on customer feedback to influence improvements in programs and processes. Key liaison point for development of Workday self-service enhancements Promotes a service-led continuous improvement culture to achieve high levels of stakeholder service. Selects, develops, trains, and manages staff to ensure the highest level of customer service is delivered along with the efficient operation of the global front line team.

Performs all required management responsibilities including but not limited to: implementing the company's policies, programs, and guidelines; ensuring employee productivity and growth; managing resources; knowing Varian's business; and maintaining functional, technical, and external market awareness necessary for managing the organization.

Job Requirements

  • Ability, competence, and confidence to lead people remotely
  • Experience in an HR Shared Services environment
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • Chinese orJapanese language knowledge is desired
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent
  • 8 years of related experience
  • 3 years management experience or supervisory equivalent
  • Travel may be required
