Roles & Responsibilities

Please note that this is a 5-month fixed-term contract role.

Division Summary

There are 3 individuals in the HR team (Head of HR, Asia, HR Manager and HR Analyst) based in Singapore. The HR team is custodian of the employee life cycle and partners with the business to achieve the organisations strategic objectives.

Job Purpose

To gain an understanding of the HR function within a Financial Services environment by participating and supporting the team across tasks and projects across the employee lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Junior support to HR team on administrative tasks

Help create online HR forms, review current processes and identify opportunities to automate where possible

Assist with HR lifecycle activities, e.g. onboarding and inducting new joiners, manage staff movements, leavers.

Ad hoc project administration including and not limited to projects involving Learning and Development, HR Services, Mobility, HR Policies, Recruitment, Compensation & Benefits

General HR administrative tasks and other ad hoc duties as assigned

HR Services

Support Staff Life Cycle (Joiners/Leavers/Transfers) meeting all regulatory requirements

Assist to find regional and global efficiencies in data management

Risk and Control

Support the annual Employee Handbook Reviews for Singapore and Shanghai

Support Screening vendor review project

Payroll & Tax

Support Year End Tax filing (IR8E) and work closely with local Tax Advisor where required

Internship Programme

Support roll out of university internship programme

Compensation & Benefits

Support Medical Insurance reviews and annual renewals

Resourcing and On-boarding:

Handle full spectrum of recruitment and talent acquisition matters.

Collaborate with various hiring managers to ensure a seamless recruitment process

Assist in drafting job descriptions to be in line with legal and regulatory requirements

Proactively sourcing, recruiting and hiring new candidates.

Managing and distributing job postings on various recruitment platforms.

Liaise and manage recruitment agencies as applicable

Screen all applications received and prepare shortlists for the Team

Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers and ensure feedback is collected from interviewers, as required

Engage with the business and current employees to help drive employee referrals

Think creatively about recruiting processes and procedures and help build the processes which will support and sustain our growth over the coming years

Update the recruitment system in a timely manner as applicable

Ensure accuracy of Pipeline reports and update in a timely manner as applicable

International transfers: Assignee management

Support HR team and International Mobility team in London to ensure all policies and processes are up to date, in line with local legislation (including tax)

Support HR team to manage on-boarding logistics including transportation, accommodation, liaising with relocation and shipping companies, immigration and briefing with foreign hires

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

At least 5 years of general HR experience, preferably in the financial sector

2+ full cycle recruiting experience in a fast paced or high-growth environment essential, preferably with experience in recruiting across multiple functions

Regulatory/ control experience

Knowledge, technical skills and expertise

Understanding of basic HR practices (HR Knowledge)

Broad understanding of how effective HR can impact the business (Commerciality)

Good command of spoken & written Chinese & English (Language skills)

Proficient in Microsoft Applications, namely Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Is adaptable to an ever evolving business environment

A good team player

Some experience working in a financial institution is an advantage
