Roles & Responsibilities

Primary Purpose of the Position

The HRBP role functions as a strategic partner delivering business results with a focus on people, strategy & process.

Oversees all aspects of Human Resources for Ampol Singapore & US. Provides HR advice and assistance to managers at Ampol to support their efforts to build a competitive level of sustainable organisational capability to meet the current and future business strategies.

In addition, the HRBP ensures that local HR policy and process aligns with the Group approach.

Talent Acquisition Strategy

  • Trusted advisor to candidates and internal business partners
  • Build and drive recruiting best practices
  • Diversify hiring strategies and employer branding
  • Develop deep understanding of critical capabilities to build talent pipelines for current & future roles
  • Forecast hiring needs based on business growth plans
  • Develop network of potential future hires
  • Maintain onboarding & Training Programs
  • Talent Development

  • Identify business unit competencies
  • Establish a learning environment
  • Use systematic and planned activities designated by the organization to help people develop the necessary skills to meet current and future organizational objectives
  • Marry organisation goals & objectives and the personal development aspirations of present & future talent
  • Succession planning
  • Experience with mobility of people, relocation services.

  • Perform market sensing & trend analysis by obtaining knowledge of competitive practices within labour markets
  • Align reward practices with organizational goals and employee values

  • Collaborate with senior leaders to identify opportunities to raise the corporate branding
  • Review benefits, health and wellness programmes and secure senior leader commitment in support of these programmes

  • Align local HR strategy with global HR strategy

  • Trusted advisor to senior leaders on complex international HR compliance
  • Ensure department is aligned and up-to-date on relevant HR legislation
  • Identify personnel risks in managing HR issues and develop mitigating strategies to mitigate these risks
  • Continuous HR Process Improvement to support International Growth

    Scope of Role

  • Interpretation of Singapore employment legislation, employment contracts and Company policy
  • All decisions are made within Delegation of Authority guidelines.
