We are currently looking for a HR Manager to be based in our Regional Centre in Singapore. Reporting to the Head of HR, Singapore & SEA, this role will be part of a dynamic team accountable for delivering our HR strategy to attract and recruit the best talent, create an inclusive working experience, grow careers through continuous development and ensure right recognition and reward for our employees.

Your job

  • Understand business challenges, needs, and proactively work with managers as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to manage all people-related topics.
  • Contributes to the business strategy by helping managers to build organizational capabilities and identify gaps. Act as a change agent in the implementation of changes in operating structures, models and Corporate/HR initiatives.
  • Champion local, regional and global talent initiatives and relying on a solid knowledge of the Companys talent, make recommendations to link talent with appropriate opportunities. Advise and coach managers on leadership and management skills.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Acts as an expert and professional confidant in providing employee relations advice and coaching to employees and managers regarding performance issues and disciplinary matters.
  • Create awareness and work closely with the business to drive the inclusion and diversity agenda, staff engagement and other organizational initiatives.
  • In line with the Regional APAC MEA recruitment strategy, drive the local recruitment strategy and actively integrate the Inclusion & Diversity agenda into the recruitment strategy and process. Manage the end to end recruitment process for assigned business units with a focus on direct sourcing and strategic searches where required, following MR best practice guidelines and ensuring that appropriate interview and assessment processes are being deployed to meet Companys requirements. Develop competitive offers for hires.
  • Manage cyclical activities such as annual compensation review exercises
  • Identify new opportunities where HR can add value to the business.
  • Maintain progressive knowledge of the HR legal and regulatory environment and local / regional HR practices and key trends and share best practices with the team.
  • Support Head of HR Singapore & SEA as required with ad hoc projects and initiatives. This includes but is not limited to process review and improvement, implementing best practices, vendor management.
  • Your profile

  • Bachelors Degree in a related discipline (eg. Education, Business, Human Resources, Psychology)
  • 10+ years Human Resources experience with business partner experience in a matrixed corporate environment. HR experience in an insurance or financial services company is a plus.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to liaise and influence employees at all levels

  • Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills along with facilitation and coaching skills (workshops, focus groups and development topics)
