About the HR Manager Role:

Reporting to the Regional Director, you will be responsible for talent management, compensation and benefits, HSE and implementing HR policies. The manager will assist in the formulation of the human resource plan according to the company's strategic priorities and ensure compliance with local Employment Act, Industrial Relations Act and prevailing human resources legislation and practices

Key Responsibilities:

Partner with the business unit heads for the development of the company's strategic plan, culture, mission, vision statements and goals. Provide leadership in organisational diagnosis, design & interventions. Support business transformation initiatives by being actively engaged in effecting change
Champion the performance management process and ensure training, accountability, and alignment of goals and the calibration of ratings
Manage the salary administration and job evaluation processes and employee services, reward and recognition programmes
Implement recruitment and selection strategies to ensure sufficient pool of candidates, optimisation of manpower and hiring of the right person at the right time with the right competencies
Conduct needs analysis and develop strategies for training & development of workforce. Design and conduct or arrange for effective delivery of training
To succeed in this role, you must possess at least eight years' managerial experience within the manufacturing sector and must be able to articulate strategy to operational teams.

Knowledge of applicable state and federal laws and regulations affecting the workplace is critical
Ability to effectively communicate, verbal and written, with all levels of the organisation
Ability to solve/recommend solutions to ambiguous problems
Strong influencing and leadership skills with the ability to challenge decisions and facilitate change
Bachelors Degree in Human Resources Management or a relevant study
Awareness and understanding of Health, Safety and Environment
