Roles & Responsibilities

The Role:

Reporting to the EMEA and APAC People Director based in the UK, you will lead the People team located across five different countries in the South East Asia (SEA) region. Partnering with the regional leadership team, you will provide end to end functional leadership including implementation of People initiatives that enable the delivery of the group strategy and business plans of the SEA Locations.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, counsel and best practice information to the SEA leaders across all areas of People function including recruitment, employee/industrial relations, performance management, remuneration & benefits, talent management and development, mobility and regulatory compliance
  • Provide coaching to managers and senior leadership team to enhance and improve leadership of teams in line with Worley values and beliefs and agreed capabilities
  • Ensuring robust talent and succession plans are in place for all key capabilities within the portfolio and implement strategies, such as graduate hiring and development to meet business needs.
  • Ensure a highly competent and motivated People team is in place that is visibly connected to the portfolio across SE Asia, working directly to support the achievement of the location business plans in a way that aligns to local jurisdictional requirements and Worley requirements.
  • Ensure the annual calendar of People related activity is executed effectively (eg performance review, remuneration, incentive) across the portfolio.
  • Provide People subject matter expertise and advice to significant organizational development projects and organizational change initiatives. Lead or support the implementation/management of group wide People related initiatives as required.
  • Implement and/or embed company approved People systems, frameworks and policy to ensure consistency and fairness in the management of our people
  • Provide advice and support on complex employee relations issues and escalated cases relating to employee grievances, Code of Conduct, terminations and other People related matters in line with relevant Acts
  • Lead the investigation and resolution of any employer / employee ethics matters for the portfolio
  • Represent the companys interests and be appropriately aware of Human Resources developments by maintaining the necessary contact with peers in competitor companies, relevant industry bodies and government agencies across the jurisdictions for the portfolio
  • About You

  • Broad experience across the full spectrum of an HR function, including advising and influencing at Senior Executive levels
  • Significant experience working across cultures, and ideally in the SEA region
  • Broad understanding of the industries that Worley operates in, preferred professional services or large corporate with an energy or resources focus.
  • Degree qualified in Business, Human Resources or similar.
  • Relevant industry related experience and scope of responsibility.
  • Excellent leadership skills, high degree of emotional intelligence and resilience.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills must be able to work with all levels of internal and external organizations and across cultures and countries.
  • Proficient at dealing with complexity.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and oral.
  • Unquestioned integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality
