Chandler Macleod is working with Southern Ports to source an HR Business Partner; the successful candidate can work from either their Bunbury or Albany operation centre. This is a permanent role, reporting to the experienced and effective People and Organisation Manager. The role offers an interesting scope, excellent remuneration package, and a friendly and supportive environment in the beautiful South. You will ideally live locally.

The Human Resources Business Partner will be responsible for the Employee and Industrial Relations functions for Southern Ports Authority regarding investigations, communication and legal matters within relevant statutory and government policy requirements and in line with the values and objectives of SPA.

The core duties include:

Handle queries in relation to enterprise agreements, employment contracts, and employment conditions

Oversee compensation programs ensuring regulatory compliance and competitive salaries

Assist with the process for grievances and disciplinary in accordance with the Authority's policy

Identify and implement positive employee relations programs with the relevant stakeholder groups, that will lead to a more efficient and motivated workforce

Support the local implementation of organisational performance management systems

Support managers in ensuring all employees uphold performance and conduct standards in line the SPA Values

Manage Recruitment and Selection processes to ensure employment and retention of suitably qualified, skilled employees.

Oversee the appropriate induction and orientation of new employees jointly with managers
