Our client is a leading player in the marine industry. Due to expansion, there is now an exciting opportunity for an experience and dynamic individual to join them as Assistant Manager (Compensation & Benefits). Role & Responsibilities:

Compensation and Benefits

  • Take lead in the planning, coordination and implementation of the following which involves working with multiple stakeholders:
  • Annual compensation exercises for variable bonuses, annual salary review, promotion and annual wage supplement; and
  • Annual performance appraisal exercise
  • Prepare communications materials and conduct briefing sessions to Management, HR business partners and employees on the annual compensation exercises as well as any new or revised compensation and benefits policies and procedures
  • Establish new or review existing compensation and benefits policies to ensure statutory compliance and in alignment with the organisational strategy
  • Responsible for identifying gaps and working alongside relevant stakeholders to bridge gaps in policies, HR information system and relevant downstream systems in order to comply with relevant labour law/legislations and HR guidelines/requirements

HR Administration

  • Responsible for generating monthly headcount and employee-related reports
  • Responsible for planning, coordination and administration of compulsory retirement and re-employment
  • Manage leave administration for new hires and any updates on working hours/reporting locations for office-based staff in the relevant system
  • Prepare employee-related letters including variable bonus, annual salary review, promotion, transfer letters
  • Provide timely and accurate advice on compensation and benefits related queries
  • Assist in HR budgeting and forecast
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of government and other HR-related surveys

The Talent

  • Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration/Management or related field
  • At least 3 years' hands on experience in Compensation and Benefits management
  • Good understanding and experience in the application of Singapore Employment Act and Compensation and Benefits practices
  • Maturity in managing confidential information with high sensitivity
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills in order to deliver ideas and establish effective and strong relationships with relevant stakeholders
  • Independence in delivering quality work while is a strong team player
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and adapt to changing conditions
  • Strong sense of responsibility
  • Eye for details and is adept in handling large data set with quality outcome
  • Strong analytical skills to drive people analytics initiatives in the compensation and benefits.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 especially Excel and Word
  • Experience in using HR information system especially PeopleSoft and dashboard applications such as Power BI will be advantageous
