Roles & Responsibilities

Job Description

  • Lead the HR & Regional HR department to formulate, implement and review HR strategies and initiatives in line with corporate directions and goals
  • Collaborate with the different business units to understand their business challenges and needs, propose insights and solutions, optimise organizational design and drive business performance
  • Serve as a strategic business advisor to the senior management
  • Provide leadership and direction to the HR and Regional HR teams to drive continuous improvement in HR processes
  • Provide strategic guidance on policies, procedures, and planning to promote effective HR programs across various business units and overseas offices
  • Lead and manage leadership development program to identify key future leaders whilst managing succession planning across Singapore and the Southeast Asia region
  • Oversee talent acquisition and management across Singapore and the Southeast Asia region
  • Prepare and Present periodic management reports to the Japan Headquarters
  • Manage a regional HR office in Thailand
  • Liaise with the Japan Headquarters and other offices in the Asia Pacific
  • Job Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in human resource, business, or related fields
  • At least 15 years of experience in human resource functions and 10 years in leadership positions
  • Native fluency in Japanese (Level N1) to communicate with the Japan Headquarters and offices in the Asia Pacific
  • Track record in formulation and execution of human development initiatives
  • Strong analytical, organising, negotiation, project & team management, and supervisory skills
  • Deep understanding of and extensive experience in strategy formulation, policy deployment and management systems
  • Wide experience in development and implementation of expatriate programs and deployment of expatriates
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable with interacting with people of diverse cultural backgrounds
  • Broad change management skill set, combined with the ability to apply project management principles to deliver and support organisational change
