Roles & Responsibilities

The role has overall responsibility for the development and implementation of talent management, talent development and talent acquisition strategies and initiatives for Asia Pacific.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of strategies to strengthen Schaefflers leadership development, talent management, talent acquisition and talent development capabilities in Asia Pacific
  • Align the talent priorities of the sub-regions and region with the global talent philosophy and framework
  • Lead the annual performance management and appraisal cycle for Asia Pacific
  • Engage with internal stakeholders and external partners to design and deliver learning and development programs to strengthen organizational capability
  • Together with the HR business partners, collaborate with the business as a key strategic subject matter expert in all areas of employee development in Asia Pacific
  • Partner and engage with global teams, specifically employee development, to align and implement organization-wide talent and people development initiatives with clear focus on the requirements of Asia Pacific.
  • Actively engage and partner external talent acquisition (headhunters, executive search firms) and talent development partners to ensure Schaefflers people and talent strategies are relevant in Asia Pacific
  • Partner Communications and Marketing in developing and enhancing the employer brand and value proposition for Schaeffler in the region through strategic collaborations
  • Lead the design and development of Schaefflers overall People Development Framework in Asia Pacific and translate overview into strategies that can be operationalized
  • Facilitate effectively at regional, sub-regional and in-country talent reviews on a regular basis
  • Pre-requisites

  • Bachelors degree in HR related disciplines
  • At least 10 years of relevant Human Resource experience within in multi-national organization. Internal candidates with shorter experience will also be considered.
  • High level of comfort in working within a matrix environment
  • Experienced in developing people development strategies
  • High level of comfort in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
  • Exhibits team leadership skills including excellent organizational influencing skills
  • Able to read and write fluently in English
  • Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrates a high-level strategic thinking and planning
  • Possesses a deep knowledge of talent management and acquisition practices, guidelines and policies
  • Comfortable in working independently and/or with small teams
