We are seeking a seasoned and results-oriented HR Director to serve as a strategic business partner for our Global Entity Management (GEM) team in APAC. Based in Singapore and reporting to the Senior Director, HRBP for GEM, this role will partner closely and have accountability to the senior leadership team to drive HR regulatory matters and strong employee engagement through the development and implementation of talent strategies.

This role will lead programs at scale in close partnership with the HR Centers of Excellence (Learning/Enablement/Development), Compensation, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Employee Central & Advocacy. Responsibilities will be broad: leadership consulting on HR matters, regulatory compliance management, manager coaching & development, performance & talent management, organizational realignment & workforce planning, as well as HR program development & implementation. This role will be responsible for helping to strengthen the senior leadership team by providing coaching and guidance to senior leaders further to develop their leadership capability, impact and capacity.

  • You have a proven track record as a developer of talent, able to facilitate talent reviews and drive a talent-focused people agenda
  • You are an empathetic leader who can coach employees and managers through complex situations and sensitive matters
  • You have the ability to root-cause issues, match people strategies to business strategies, and deliver global programs that drive results
  • You build and maintain strong trust at all levels of the business and collaborate with HRBPs, Legal, Centers Of Excellence
  • Core duties

  • You have excellent communication skills and are able to lead in collaboration with our Rewards Leader in Asia, our Remuneration & Nomination Committees to ensure excellent collaboration with our Non-Executive Directors (NEDs) and Board members

  • You are skilled and passionate about Talent Management, coaching, and developing manager capabilities
  • You operate as the HR leader and business partner for the GEM business unit in APAC to develop and steward a holistic HR plan that enables business results and operational excellence across our different teams
  • You have a strong analytical mindset, are a troubleshooter who is adept at analyzing large amounts of detailed information and recommending appropriate solutions to senior business leaders
  • You can demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-cultural, global organization and build strong trust with client groups and colleagues
  • You can deliver high levels of performance and service excellence while managing a high-volume workload

  • Required Skills:

  • 15+ years of HR business partner experience and in matrixed, global organizations, preferably with Financial Services experience
  • Experienced in a high profile and strategic HR role with executive-level interface and a high degree of executive influence
  • You have a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of employment legislation/regulation in Asia, its interpretation, and implementation
  • You possess a strong background in Regulatory Matters; including HR Management of Regulated Staff (Material Risk Personnel, Senior Management functions, and Accountable Employees) and are experienced in various HR activities such as Appointment of Regulated Staff, Separation Process, Performance Management, Rewards and Audit Management
  • Significant depth in organizational design & learning, people manager development and coaching, facilitation, and employee relations is desired
  • Advanced degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or equivalent experience is required with a preference for an advanced level
  • Fluent in English
