The Role
Veevas Employee Success (HR) team is growing and we are looking for an experienced HR leader to help scale our team across Asia. As the Director of Asia Employee Success, you will be a player coach, working closely with leaders across China, Japan, Korea, India, and APAC on all people-related topics. You will be responsible for growing the HR business partner team and operations across the region, in addition to executing talent management projects and programs.
This role can be based in Veevas Tokyo, Shanghai, Beijing, or Singapore hub locations.

What You'll Do

  • Drive the implementation of HR programs, process, and talent management initiatives with guidance from global HR leadership, the Regional General Manager, and Country General Managers
  • Act as the primary business partner for key business units and leaders across Asia
  • Guide, mentor and develop a high performing, proactive Business Partnership and HR Operations team that can support our scale and growth
  • Provide clear and effective counsel to management and business partners on people related issues including performance management, employee relations and organizational design
  • Provide knowledge and expertise across employment practices as it relates to hiring, terminations
  • Work closely with the rest of the global Employee Success team on key projects, and improvements
  • Requirements

  • 10+ yrs experience in HR or similar roles in global and fast-growth companies /or 8+ yrs in management consulting
  • Deep experience in China or Japan, plus other markets in Asia
  • Strong business partner and / or customer-facing background that has driven business results, performance management, leadership development and coaching, and talent management
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable with ambiguity and change
  • Has built strong teams and understands the evolving role of the business partner
  • In depth labor market knowledge across Asia, with a priority on China or Japan
  • Fluent in English, including excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Chinese or Japanese language fluency desirable
