An opportunity has arisen for a Covid Response Recruitment Manager within a South East NHS organisation, to deliver recruitment plans providing the workforce required by Pandemic Health Emergency Response Service.

The Recruitment Manager will lead the Recruitment Team and ensure delivery of a high quality, customer focused recruitment and selection service to managers and staff, in accordance with NHS employers standards, employment legislation and national policy.

Main responsibilities:

  • As a senior manager within emergency response service, the Recruitment Manager will be required to provide leadership to the team, ensuring the effective provision of the service provided and to champion a culture of positive challenge;
  • To support staff so they are motivated and express a positive attitude towards the organisation, peers and colleagues;
  • Work autonomously, providing recruitment services to managers, interpreting recruitment employment legislation and case law, providing authoritative advice on specialist recruitment issues;
  • Foster excellent working relationships with all stakeholders, (both internal and external), developing and maintaining the reputation of the Covid HR Recruitment Team across the Covid workstreams;
  • Implement and promote recruitment and selection processes to support excellence in service delivery, ensuring the right person in the right place at the right time;
  • Develop progress monitoring and reporting arrangements which support the needs of the Covid Head of HR and Covid HR Business Partner;
  • Provide key performance indicator (KPI) information as required by the Covid Head of HR;
  • Plan and implement a broad range of complex recruitment programmes and strategies requiring ongoing formulation and adjustment.

Key Skills/Experience:

  • Highly specialist knowledge of one or more HR topics to masters level or equivalent acquired through degree and professional HR qualification plus additional training, or equivalent experience;
  • CIPD Qualified or equivalent HR/Recruitment experience.
