We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Business Risk and Control Manager. Principal responsibilities Work closely with Country HR BRCMs and regional stakeholders across the Asia Pacific Region to promote operational risk awareness and provide guidance on risk management practices pertaining to both HR operations and wider Employment Practices & Relations and People risks. Coordinate and monitor risk related activities and programme roll-out across the region, i.e. Risk and Control Assessment, Control Monitoring etc. Assess and report on the adequacy of operational risk and control environment across the region. Track and monitor Audit and Assurance reviews related to both HR operations and wider Employment Practices & Relations and People risks. Review and monitor progress of remediation actions and provides update in a timely manner for management oversight. Monitor adherence to Group functional policies, and coordinate, monitor, review and challenge approved dispensations and new dispensation requests. Identify thematic issues, plan, coordinate and conduct thematic reviews within HR across the region. Work closely with Group HR Information Reporting Officer and Regional Information Security Risk, and provide guidance to Country HR BIROs across the region in meeting the standards related to Information Security Risks and continually enhancing awareness and oversight within HR. Provide timely management information and reports for the regional risk governance forums and others as needed. Support BRCM related activities as set out in the Operational Risk Management Framework for Network Markets across the region. Qualifications Requirements Minimum of a Bachelors degree with background in Banking, risk management or internal audit; Audit, Risk or Compliance professional designation preferred. Understand and ensure compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the HR function. Ability to work professionally with various levels of staff and management across multiple countries and cultures. Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills including the ability to deliver clear and accurate messages to management. Time management and organisation skills with the ability to prioritise and multi-task. Strong teamwork, attentive to details, complex problem resolution, sound judgment, keen sense of urgency and initiative, and high level of professional and personal integrity. Proven analytical and review skills with the ability to draw the correct conclusions from reviews. Youll achieve more when you join HSBC.
