Job Description

Reporting to the Director, Human Resource, the Assistant Manager, Human Resource is part of the human resource business partnering team supporting all aspects of recruitment, employee performance & development, employee engagement, rewards & benefits as well as off-boarding.

  • Manage and direct the full spectrum of HR functions encompassing recruitment and selection, performance management, compensation review, employee engagement and talent management as a business partner.
  • Oversee the HR Business Partner team in the full recruitment process and onboarding of new hires, in addition to reviewing channels for talent acquisition, etc.
  • Works with the business units to assess staffing requirements and provide assistance in the development of strategic staffing plans.
  • Provides solutions on HR matters and policy advisory to business partners in delivering effective HR management
  • Responsible for the execution and management of annual performance appraisal exercise.
  • Responsible for preparing information and data needed for salary survey and benchmarking exercise and yearly manpower budgeting exercise
  • Manage the annual salary review, promotion and variable bonus exercise including preparation of information for management reporting and union negotiations
  • Administration, processing and record management for various incentive schemes.
  • Engage in performance management of staff and provide support on staff disciplinary meetings, termination and investigations
  • Assist to develop/implement HR initiatives and ad-hoc projects as required
  • Provide guidance to the HR Business Partner team and ensure continual excellence in HR operations
  • Involved in Industrial Relations matters, wage negotiation and Union-Management discussions

  • Job Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in HRM or equivalent, with at least 5 years of relevant HR experience
  • Good knowledge of Singapore's Employment Act, labour laws and statutory rules and regulations
  • Analytical, resourceful and meticulous and confident
  • Able to multi-task and work independently in a dynamic environment
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Motivated individual and possesses good follow-up skills
