How AI Will Transform the Workplace
Artificial intelligence, or AI, is everywhere. It’s estimated that the technology will add $16 trillion to the global economy by 2030. Small and large businesses should take advantage of AI as soon as possible and find ways to incorporate this growing technology into their business plans wherever possible.
AI in HR is a big opportunity for businesses. Recruiting the right candidates who will not leave in a couple of months is one of the most difficult HR challenges. Luckily, AI can help with that.
Businesses can set up hiring games that assess applicants’ personality traits and compare them to successful employees. It’s estimated that these games alone can save recruiters up to 250 hours and save businesses up to $20,000 per year in recruiting resources. HR software can also automate the onboarding process, which can take up to three months for some businesses.
For example, software can record employees’ everyday tasks and create easy how-to videos, which can be shown to new hires and significantly speed up the onboarding process.
Business leaders are also increasingly turning to AI to cut out repetitive tasks like paperwork (82%), scheduling (79%), and timesheets (78%), and using the technology to boost sales. By next year, a whopping 30% of businesses will be using AI in at least one of their sales processes.
